Your first visit to the Hausner Cardiology Center involves a few special steps so that we can get to know you. To understand what to expect, please read through this page. You’ll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more. There’s also background information about our committed staff and our first visit procedures. You can also save some time by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment.
We hope that the following information will be helpful to you. We respect your time and we would like to make your visit to our office as efficient as possible.
Location:
Parking is usually available in the parking garage of the Chevy Chase Building. Additional parking is available in the lot across from the office at Saks Fifth Avenue. The only parking that does not require payment is on the street behind our building. These spaces are very hard to find and are limited to 2 hours. Our office does not validate parking for patients.
Medical Information:
Please bring any EKG, test results or recent lab work, and a list of all your current medications (please include dosage and how you take it) with you to your appointment.
Medical Insurance:
Please bring your insurance card and a photo I.D. to your first appointment, and every visit thereafter. If your insurance requires a referral, you are responsible for obtaining it from your primary care physician. You must bring the referral form with you the day of your appointment. We accept Medicare, and other major medical insurance plans.
Financial Policy:
We collect patient co-pays at the time of your visit. It is not our policy to bill patients for their co-pay. Please come prepared to pay your co-pay at the time of your visit.
Cancellation Policy:
Our office sees patients by appointment only. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us as early as possible so that we are able to offer the time to another patient. Patients scheduled for a Nuclear Stress Test MUST give 24 hours notice for cancelled appointments. Any Nuclear Stress Test appointment not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice will be subject to a cancellation fee of $200.00. This is for the medications that are used for this test as they are ordered in advance.
We make every effort to honor your appointment time. However, in a cardiology practice emergencies are unavoidable. Maintaining a strict schedule is not always possible. Thank you for your patience.
